'POWER- NETWORK'  ELECTRICAL  DISTRIBUTION DISPLAY PROGRAM

‘POWER-NETWORK' simulates a power distribution network on a personal computer, thus replacing large ’mimic’ boards that are the conventional means of simulating a power distribution network. The status of a power network can be monitored by using the computer's display as a window into a large network.  As the status of switches, breakers, and cut-outs are changed, the program will display the energized/de-energized status of all lines and components of the network.  Changes made to the network become a work list for the maintenance staff.  By using the program a user will avoid mistakes such as disconnecting power from a consumer or overloading a feeder.

No programming or software configuration is required by the user, since  the vendor  will assemble the network graphic display utilizing a user's provided one line diagram.  The user can update his network using the graphic editor without the assistance of the vendor.  A demonstration version of the program is available on request.

Unique features of the program are:

  1. Ease of use

  2. Low cost per component

  3. Demonstration program available at no cost

  4. User receives a working simulation of  his network

  5. User can modify the power network using the editor provided

  6. Logic functions are available to avoid incorrect changes of switch status

  7. Changes made to the network become a work list for the maintenance staff

  8. A 'Practice' option is available to display the answer to ‘What if ?’ questions.
